Ready for beer?

Bell City Brewing Company

Located just in and behind Lynden Park Mall, Bell City Brewing has some seriously tasty eats and beer treats.

This is where I had my first flight of beer and fell in love with the complexity, and craftmanship of quality beer.

They have shareables, flatbreads, and the best-braised beef sliders you have ever had – truly!

Beer To Try: Edison’s Peep Show – an IPA that tastes fantastic, with little to no aftertaste that is characterized by an intense hop profile of tropical fruits & melons balanced with subtle malt notes and a crisp body. This beer delivers the complex layers of hop aroma and flavour you are craving.

The Works Craft Burgers & Beers

First of all, can we say delicious? The burgers are fresh, and the poutine is incredibly perfect. You’ll love a nice tall pint with a burger that’s out of this world.

You can find this little treat on Dalhousie Street in Brantford and to be honest? Get there early because it always seems to be busy – that’s a good sign.

Beer To Try: Barking Squirrel – an Amber Lager that is smooth, with a bitter hop taste and roasted caramel malt sweetness.

Steel Wheel Brewery

You can find this gem on Powerline Road closer to the Burford side of the city.

Their focus is a farm to glass experience open Friday, Saturday and Sunday’s. I love the local flavour and appeal, plus it’s family owned and operated and i love supporting our local businesses.

Their beer menu goes a little something like this:

Moderately bitter pale ale with notes of papaya and orange. Dry hopped with Ontario Mackinac hops. 5.8% – 33 IBU

An easy drinking American-style ale made from a blend of barley and corn. Dry hopped with Mosaic hops.  6.3% – 29 IBU

Roasty red coloured ale with notes of honey and caramel. 5.9% – 19 IBU
